Coordinating Research Council
The Coordinating Research Council (CRC) is a non-profit organization that directs, through committee action, engineering and environmental studies on the interaction between automotive equipment and petroleum products. The Sustaining Members of CRC are the American Petroleum Institute (API), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and automobile manufacturers (General Motors, Ford Motor, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Honda). Through CRC, personnel in the automotive equipment and petroleum industries can join together, and can join with Government, to work on mutual problems.
Tim Belian, Executive Director and Brent Bailey, Deputy Director will discuss current research efforts being directed by CRC. Some of the current research topics include; emissions from gasoline and diesel vehicles and engines, research on fuels, vehicle performance, hybrids, and atmospheric measurements and modeling.
